Leadership Roundtable on Houston’s Culinary Economy

September 23 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Small culinary businesses play an important role in our city’s economic mobility, job creation, and cultural preservation, yet many continue to face significant gaps in support and resources.

Feed the Soul Foundation is bringing together a select group of leaders for a Leadership Roundtable focused on the challenges facing these businesses and, most importantly, opportunities to move from conversation to action.

The discussion will be informed by the State of Small Culinary Business Industry Report, Edition 1: Addressing Support Gaps to Drive Economic Mobility, featuring insights from nearly 400 small culinary business owners and professionals nationwide.

Featured voices include:

  • Brandy Guidry, Economic Development Liaison, Houston-Galveston Area Council
  • Reginald Martin, Executive Director, Houston Hospitality Alliance
  • Mike Shine, President, Greater Houston Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association
  • Veronica Avila, Co-owner of Henderson and Kane, LLC
  • Demetrius Walker, Owner of Meek’s Vegan Pizza
  • InKind Representative

We hope you’ll join us for this timely and meaningful conversation.

Special thanks to Sophisticated Delights for providing a complimentary lunch for our guests.
